Laying Hens

Our Laying Hens

Split Rail Farm has raised chickens for over 15 years. We offer a variety of breeds that are well suited for backyard flocks. All of our birds are vaccinated for Marek’s disease. We release groups of birds for sale at 4 months of age. The laying hens are fully feathered and almost fully grown. They should start laying eggs in about 2 months, at 6 months of age (depending on breed).
